I was born in Grove Park, London. From an early age, I felt compelled by the far East and became interested in complementary therapy after spending 3 years working in Japan: that's where my understanding of massage therapies really expanded. Back in London, I studied Anatomy, Physiology and Body Massage at Morley College. I qualified in 1994 with a credited ITEC certificate.
Qualifying in Reflexology and Aromatherapy in the same year, I found that people respond extremely positively to my approach and techniques. I've been busy ever since, and have become a Reiki 'master' as well as visiting Thailand and Myanmar (Burma) to learn about new massage techniques. I never stop learning.
I started Home Holistics as a central point for like-minded therapists and as a way to share experience and knowledge of therapies.
Outside of work I read, listen to a huge variety of warm bamboo (from drum'n'bass to Mozart) or curl up in front of the fire with a cup of tea and some TV trash. I love to go clubbing (never mind my age, I want to dance!) or put the world to rights with my friends. I always seem to be hosting an abandoned pet - or three!
